Tattoo Removal Part 2

I went back in last Friday for my second appointment with the laser. The doctor was very impressed with how much the tattoo had faded after just one treatment. She was also very impressed with how well I healed (no scarring at all - just a faded tattoo).

So I think that with all this impressive behaviour on my part, she thought that she could go a little harder this time. MY LORD IT HURT! Really though. She worked away on it for much longer this time, and seemed to hurt a lot more. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with me not popping a few advil before the procedure (If forgot my Mom's sound advice), or if she actually did more this time.

I was in the shower on Friday morning when I remembered my appointment that afternoon, and I tried to will myself to remember my camera - so of course I forgot it. Good thing the nice IT man let me take one of the company cameras though - so I have a picture of the shoulder just before and just after the procedure was done.

It really is very faded compared to how it was before - even some parts at the top are already completely gone.

Because it's just after - the swelling, oozing, and bleeding hasn't really taken full effect - but you get the idea.

I'm ok now - I'm taking pictures every couple of days so that I can see the healing/fading process. It's actually almost completely healed, but it will fade a lot over the next few weeks. Hopefully by New Years it will look half decent.
